All workshops will take place at our South Surrey Sources Food Bank kitchen and classroom and you’ll have the opportunity to visit our awesome Food for Thought community garden.
Cost: $20/participant (includes all supplies and equipment)

Registration is required as we will accept a maximum of 12 participants. Children 12 and up are welcome (free of charge if accompanied by registered adult) but they need to register as such.

Note: please email me for any questions and to inform when you have registered. No walk-ins or late registrations (no exceptions!) The deadline for registrations is August the Tuesday prior to the workshop’s date. Example: August 18 for August 22 workshop; August 25 for August 29 workshop and September 9 for September 12 workshop.
What you’ll learn/take with you:
You’ll learn the process of pickling / canning not only vegetables but almost anything, the equipment, supplies and troubleshooting, when to do it, benefits and cons to make informed decisions (i.e. fermenting, pickling or canning?)
You’ll get two jars full of your own creation, handouts with tips, resources and recipes and a life-ling skill that you can share with others…hopefully you’ll also end up with new friends and a network of truly creative, healthy and sustainable people!
